CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- Police say they arrested the same man for similar drug offenses in the same day, according to a Caruthersville Police Department news release. At 12:05 a.m. Sunday, police at the Caruthersville Community Center conducted a pat-down for weapons on a 21-year-old Caruthersville man and located several baggies of marijuana and several hundred dollars. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and at that time was released pending the filing of formal charges. At 11:10 p.m., the same man was stopped for improper registration. Police found several baggies of marijuana after a dog searched the vehicle and arrested him. The names of the individuals were not released by authorities pending the filing of formal charges by the Pemiscot County prosecutor's office.
