At a recent meeting of American Legion Post 158, Jim Nelson reported on the American Legion Scholarship fund. He said that the contribution in memory of Bob Abbott was probably the largest amount to be made honoring one person. Coach Mark Lewis introduced the Legion senior boy's baseball team. The team compiled a record of 26 and 19 and finished third in the district. Gerald Adams introduced the junior baseball team. This team finished fourth in the state tournament. Gerald Adams is the general manager for both teams and reported that the teams had a great year.
