JACKSON, Mo. -- A Marble Hill, Mo., woman sustained moderate injuries Friday evening in an accident at the intersection of Highways 72 and 34.

Toni Cowell, 20, was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle, Roy Burton Jr., 26, of Marquand, Mo., was not injured. His passenger, Brandy Burton, 23, of Marquand received minor injuries and was taken to St. Francis Medical Center.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when Cowell's vehicle turned left in front of Burton's vehicle.
