Keesee earns rank promotion in Air Force; Area student completes ROTC training course

Robinson promoted to major in Air Force

Jon T. Robinson has been promoted to the rank of major in the U.S. Air Force. Robinson is a deployment plans and policy chief assigned to the Headquarters, Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Ill. He is the son of Van Robinson and Nancy Robinson, both of Cape Girardeau. His wife, Cary, is the daughter of Dennis and Sandra Nall of Festus, Mo. Robinson graduated in 1991 from Cape Girardeau Central High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1996 from Southeast Missouri State University.

Keesee earns rank promotion in Air Force

Msgt. Larry V. Keesee has been promoted to senior msgt. He is a member of the Air Force reserve at Little Rock Air Force Base, Jacksonville, Ark. He is the son of Lawrence and Mary Ann Keesee, formerly of Cape Girardeau. Keesee has participated in support of Operation Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Safe Skies, Joint Forge and Iraqi Freedom. He has served in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, France, Italy and Iraq.

Area student completes ROTC training course

Mitchell C. Castell graduated from the Army ROTC 28-day Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky. Castell is a student at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He is the son of John C. and Mary K. Casteel of Jackson and is a 2003 graduate of Jackson High School.
