MINER, Mo. -- A fire early Monday morning in Miner destroyed a new business and remains under investigation.

According to Miner assistant fire chief Randall Briggs, firefighters were called to the scene between 1 and 1:30 a.m. on Route HH, which is in Miner jurisdiction.

Upon their arrival, the building, which housed Twin Mac Auto Repair and Detailing, was fully engulfed in flames, the assistant fire chief said.

"We got the fire under control fairly quickly," Briggs said.

The building and three vehicles inside were destroyed, Briggs said. Two vehicles were also located outside the shop, he said, adding the business was just opening.
