Jackson will be bustling more than usual on Friday when most of the members of the Jackson Merchant's Association will be open from 7-10 p.m. for the first-ever Moonlight Madness sale.

Ken Fluegge, president of Jackson Merchant's Association, said there will be giveaways and special sales from 7-10 p.m. to attract more customers to Jackson's downtown retail community.

If the sale is successful, the association plans to have another.

At Sweetheart Florist, two Beanie Babies will be raffled off. Sharon Bodenstein, an employee, said Erin and Princess will be raffled off between 7-10 p.m. Tickets for the raffle can be purchased at the store.

Leigh Ann Green a partner at Through the Years said they will hold a free drawing for a Holiday Homecoming Collection Barbie doll between 7-10 p.m. on Friday.

Ross Furniture will hold a special store wide sale and tent sale on Friday, Kevin Swoboda, salesman, said.

Many other businesses plan to stay open during the special hours with special sales at The Way, Jer's, Precious Memories, Truman's, Goose Creek Trading and Val's Upholstery to name a few.

A lemonade stand will be available to quench the thirst of shoppers and street music will entertain shoppers as they go from store to store seeking special bargains.
