A suspect in the May 20 robbery of First Commercial Bank in Morley, Missouri, appeared Wednesday in federal court in Cape Girardeau.
Pamela M. Lathon of St. Louis, alongside Andrea Smith, her attorney, waived her right to file pretrial motions in her case before U.S. Magistrate Judge Abbie Crites-Leoni inside the Rush Hudson Limbaugh Sr. U.S. Courthouse.
Neither Lathon nor her attorney will be able to file any motions until her trial starts and there will be no evidentiary hearing in the case.
Lathon, 46, along with Alexander Trotter and Tyrice Royston of St. Louis, face federal charges of bank robbery by force or violence in connection with the May 20 incident, according to online federal court records.
The records show that Lathon and Royston also face Stoddard County charges of first-degree robbery, felonious restraint and first-degree assault with serious physical injury in connection with the March 17 robbery of the First Commercial Bank in Essex, Missouri.
A jury trial in Trotter's case is set for 2:30 p.m. Monday at in Cape Girardeau before U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr.
