"We have wood crafts and baskets, earrings, barrettes, silk flower arrangements and umbrellas made by different people," she said. "We sell them on consignment. We have merchandise from Betty Jaco, Lila Dunning, Joan Gones and Cathy Schultz."

For now, Reeder and Fuqua are the two operators in the salon. They have four styling booths available and plan to have more operators later.

They also plan to add a tanning booth and handle pre-owned wedding and formal wear on consignment. The business is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, until noon Saturdays and by appointment.

Fuqua was certified at Stage 1 Hair School in Cape Girardeau last year. She worked eight months at Regis in Cape Girardeau. Fuqua and her daughter live in Scott City.
