Cindy Brunkhorst Schnurbusch knew several of these tap-dancing kids: "The girl third from left is Judy Heisserer. She is a my sister Connie's friend. The boy fifth from left is John Brunkhorst, and the girl sixth from left is his sister Connie Brunkhorst Miles. This photo was taken at the Arena Building. I have this picture. John and Connie are my brother and sister."

Kay Maevers recognized herself as the third child on the right. She said this was a dance recital for the Evelyn Bissett Dance Studio in May 1956.

Driving cold winds and snow flurries failed to cool enthusiasm of State College students who assembled Wednesday night in front of Houck Field House, following a torchlight parade, and whooped it up for the College Indians who will meet Colorado College Friday night in the opening round of the regional NCAA basketball tournament here. Kiddies in the Trinity Lutheran parochial kindergarten are happy with their free play project, and here they are busy with a sand table, blackboard work, block building, drawing and have a story hour thrown in for good measure.
