New classes in keyboard music are starting in September at Keyboards & Kindermusik. Owners Don and Janet Presson said students from ages 5 through adult are accepted.

Electronic keyboards and computer systems are used in the music studio. The couple said using them helps capture and retain students' attention.

The Pressons recently attended a workshop in Dallas, Texas, at which they received certification in teaching with keyboards, sound modules, sequencers and computers.

They use the Mayron Cole piano method of instruction for groups. The classes are limited to four to six students and last for about 45 minutes.

The Pressons hold bachelor and master degrees in music education. They have a combined 30 years of experience in teaching. They can be reached at 334-8623.

They started Kindermusik in 1986.
