Dennis Brown of Cape Girardeau has joined Square One Electronics Inc., 1733 N. Kingshighway, as a service technician.

Gary Slaubaugh, manager and owner of the firm, announced Brown's appointment last week.

Brown will be servicing the firm's AT&T large-business-systems contract from Cape Girardeau south to the Arkansas line, and from Poplar Bluff east to Marion, Ill.

Brown has 34 years of experience in the telephone industry, with extensive training on communications products.

Brown and his wife, Judy, reside in Cape Girardeau. They have two children and one grandchild.

Gerald L. Nicholson has joined Orthopaedic Associates, P.C. as administrator.

Nicholson is a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale with a master's degree in business administration.

He is a member of the National Society of Professional Accountants, Medical Group Managers Association and an accredited tax adviser. He has served as a medical management consultant with the American Medical Association.

He assumed his new position this month.

Orthopaedic Associates has facilities in Cape Girardeau, Perryville, Sikeston, Carbondale and Herrin, Ill., and is comprised of Dr. Ray Ritter, Dr. Michael Trueblood, Dr. Gordon Eller, Dr. William Thorpe and Dr. Rickey Lents.

Nicholson and his wife, Cathy Sammons Nicholson, have two daughters, Laura and Bria.

Wayne J. Zoellner has joined Prudential Insurance, 1021 Kingsway, Suite 2, as a district agent.

Gary E. Johnson, manager of the Kingsway office, announced Zoellner's appointment.

Zoeller, who recently moved to Cape Girardeau from Perryville, has previous insurance sales experience.

He will be working in the Cape Girardeau and Jackson areas.

SCOTT CITY Jeffrey Scherer has joined Ken Johnson Insurance, 1600 Main in Scott City, as an agent.

Scherer's appointment was announced by Johnson.

Scherer is a graduate of Kelly High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He and his wife, Tina, reside in Benton.

Johnson Insurance offers auto, home, life, health and business insurance.

John G. Foley has joined Boatmen's Bank of Cape Girardeau as assistant vice president, commercial loan officer.

Foley will serve Boatmen's in the areas of commercial real-estate and business lending.

Foley, a native of Belleville, Ill., is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Charleston. He has a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He has also completed Landmark Bank's management training program.

He previously worked with Mark Twain Bank as a loan review officer. In 1989, he joined Boatmen's Bancshares' corporate loan review department in St. Louis.

He is a member of St. Vincent's Church, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and was a former loan executive for United Way. He is an instructor with the American Institute of Banking.

Foley resides in Cape Girardeau.
