Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School will hold new-student orientation Aug. 21 for eighth-grade students and any ninth-grade student who haven't attended the school in the past.

Students with last names beginning with A through K should attend the 9 a.m. session. Students with last names beginning with L through Z should attend the 10:30 a.m. session.

Parents are welcome but not required to attend.

Each session lasts 45 minutes to an hour and student schedules will be available.

Freshmen schedules will be available Aug. 21 from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or any day after that until the first day of school.

New students may register at the junior high guidance office beginning Monday. Students who are enrolling need to bring their birth certificate, immunization card, last semester's report card and Social Security number.
