Christine Long, the course instructor, said: "People are often frustrated when their doctors tell them to cut down on their fat, cholesterol and sugar. They are often at a loss to know how to do that."

Each session includes demonstrations, tasting and a video lecture. Each participant will receive a manual containing recipes and explaining the main points in each lecture. The lectures will be given on video cassettes by physicians from Weimar Institute Health Center of near Sacramento, Calif.

The class will be limited in size. Cost is $10. Call 335-8445 or 651-3132 to enroll.
