This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "What do you think of the decision to put a full-time police officer at Cape Central High School?"

I think it's a good idea. A full-time officer there may be able to deter some of the activity they have over there now. Maybe the presence of a police officer will help to keep the kids in line."

"I think they should know what's going on at the high school. I think...just to keep track of everything and the stuff going on in case there are any drugs or illegal stuff going on on campus."

"I think it would be a good idea because at my high school I know there were drugs and problems like that and it probably would have helped if we would have had a full-time police officer."
