Paul Kesterson, Cape Girardeau

I think it's a good idea. A full-time officer there may be able to deter some of the activity they have over there now. Maybe the presence of a police officer will help to keep the kids in line."

Rebecca Swett, Memphis, Tenn.

"I think they should know what's going on at the high school. I think...just to keep track of everything and the stuff going on in case there are any drugs or illegal stuff going on on campus."

Carrie Groff, St. Peters

"I think it would be a good idea because at my high school I know there were drugs and problems like that and it probably would have helped if we would have had a full-time police officer."

Dan Temperly, Jackson

"I think it's a good idea. The kids these days...they don't respect the laws much anymore and if they see the law everyday...it could be a good role model for the kids."

Stafford Moore, Cape Girardeau

"I don't really think it's needed full-time. Because nothing really happens. I don't think they need it."
