This week the Southeast Missourian asked, "Why do you think the Jackson School District is so successful in passing school bond issues?"

"I think Jackson has a better school system than Cape and seems to have better educators. The parents are more willing to work with the kids because they have better schools. Maybe the people in Jackson are more concerned with better education."

"Because we care about our school, and our kids need new buildings. They needed a science lab and they definitely needed that. I voted for it."

I think the community and the school board are more supportive of their school system than any other district around here. I think the school board has a lot of concern and care of their school system and that's the reason Jackson is growing so much."

"I think they are more worried about their children's education. It seems like they want their children to have a better education and to do that you've got to have the proper facilities."
