The Southeast Missourian asked students at St. Vincent de Paul School their thoughts about going back to school.
Elliot Maschmann: "You get to see your friends more when you go back to school. I like P.E., recess, math and social studies. You get to study about the past and historic things that happened.
Veronica Marquart: "I was getting kind of bored with the summer, so I'm glad to get back to school. I like literature, algebra, science and social studies. I'm looking forward to being in the school play."
Rachel Hendrickson: "It's fun to be back in school. I'm looking forward to our first Holy Communion. I like writing and drawing. I like painting in art class with Brother Joe."
Emily Buehrle: "I get to meet all my friends again. Summer was starting to be the same every day. I heard that in fourth grade we will get to hide messages in the classroom and find them."
Vianney Ausseil: "I'm glad to be back so I can see friends and learn some more at school. I like reading and I like to study math. When I was little I learned math, so I know a lot of math."
