The facility, called Pepsi Depot, is being constructed on an 18-acre site at the Greater Cape Girardeau Business Park near Interstate 55.

It is expected to open in the late fall or winter this year and will create 74 new jobs, according to the company.

Pepsi MidAmerica is the first company to build a facility in the city-developed business park. The investment by the company is more than $3.1 million, according to a news release issued Thursday by Cape Girardeau Area Magnet.
