A Perryville woman has been placed on five years' probation for misappropriating funds from residents of the Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Perryville, according to a news release from Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster. Connie Jean Beckerman was also ordered to pay $14,612.21 in restitution to the facility and $5,000 in investigative costs to the MO HealthNet Prosecution Revolving Fund to reimburse costs from the investigation and prosecution of her case...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A Perryville woman has been placed on five years' probation for misappropriating funds from residents of the Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Perryville, according to a news release from Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster.

Connie Jean Beckerman was also ordered to pay $14,612.21 in restitution to the facility and $5,000 in investigative costs to the MO HealthNet Prosecution Revolving Fund to reimburse costs from the investigation and prosecution of her case.

Beckerman pleaded guilty in June to forgery, stealing by deceit and abuse of a person receiving health care by taking of funds. Beckerman forged checks in order to take money from the Perry Oaks resident trust fund account, and her victims were Medicaid recipients, the release said.

Beckerman was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge William Syler.
