Boats, motors, paddles and "Flap-o-Matic" duck decoys were for sale at this unidentified store. Bill Stone wrote: "I think looking out the window, I would be looking at the corner of Sprigg and Morgan Oak. I believe there was a boat and motor business there some 30 plus years ago."

New equipment at Southeast Missouri Hospital. One of the first units of its kind in out-state hospitals in Missouri, is this cardiac monitor and pacemaker, which will be used extensively in surgery to detect heart changes during surgery, and also can be used in treatment of cardiac conditions. Provided as part of the community service program by the Missouri Heart Association and local heart clinic, the unit is being demonstrated here, Dr. Charles McGinty, serving as the patient, while Dr. Alter M. Estes explains the unit's operation. At the right is R.A. Fulenwider of Jackson, hospital board chairman. Other board members were present for the presentation and demonstration.

Approximately 650 attended the service including members of the new church and a number from Trinity congregation and churches throughout the district. In the foreground is the newly organized 30-voice choir which is under the direction of Mrs. C.A. Bohnsack.

Around 650 persons attended the outdoor service, including members of the new congregation and a number from Trinity Lutheran and other churches throughout the district. The Rev. Louis L. Pabor of Houston, Texas, formerly pastor of Trinity was the speaker and the Rev. Ralph C. Fessler was the liturgist.
