Spartech's President and Chief Executive Officer, Bradley B. Buechler, stated, "Mr. Edwards has over 11 years experience in the plastics industry and has served in a variety of positions during his tenure at Spartech-Resin Exchange. His extensive experience with raw material procurement and administrative management positions him well to assume the responsibilities of general manager."

Edwards is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, as well as a variety of civic organizations in the Cape Girardeau area. Edwards, his wife, Pat, and their three children will continue to reside in Cape Girardeau.
