The city of Cape Girardeau was awarded a grant for the rehabilitation of 30 housing units for $6,000 per unit, according to the Cape Girardeau city government.
A public meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. April 9 at the council chambers in city hall, 401 Independence St., to explain the program, answer questions and take applications. For more information, call the Planning Services Office at 339-6327.
