The Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce will host the kickoff of a publication promoting Jackson area businesses and community leaders Friday at its monthly business breakfast.

Our Community Profile will be used "to market all aspects of Jackson from people, to parks, to professions," according to a news release announcing the event at 7:30 a.m. at Creative Edge Inc., 160 N. Enterprise Lane, Jackson. "It is our goal to market your business and make it easier for your customers to learn more about you," the release continued.

Business members of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce, individual business leaders and elements of the Jackson community will be featured. There will be a printed magazine and an electronic version containing a digital map.

It will be published in collaboration with CommunityLink of Pinckneyville, Ill.
