In one week, Jackson residents who call Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority will pay higher fees. Below is a quick list of the new fee schedule. For rides between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., add $1 to the fare.

Jackson to Jackson

6 a.m. to 10 p.m., $5 to $5.50

Jackson to Cape Girardeau

6 a.m. to 10 p.m., $8 to $12

Cape Girardeau to Jackson

6 a.m. to 8 p.m., $8 to $12

A ride from the city limits of Cape Girardeau or Jackson to the county line costs $15. The transit authority offers rides 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Call 335-5533 for rides or to get schedule details.

Lipizzaner Stallions to perform April 26

The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions will bring its dancing white stallions show to the Show Me Center on April 26, with shows at 2 and 7:30 p.m. The local performance is part of the production's 36th anniversary tour.
