Local churches hold vacation Bible schools

Christ Episcopal Church, First Presbyterian Church and Iglesia El-Shaddai will hold a vacation Bible school Aug. 4 through 6 for children ages 4 to 12, with registration at 5 p.m. Aug. 4. For more information, call 335-2579 or 335-2997.

The Eisleben Lutheran Church of Scott City will hold a vacation Bible school Sunday through Thursday for children ages 3 through sixth grade. For more information, call 264-4627.

Tommy Brown to be at Fairview General Baptist

Evangelist Tommy Brown will be at Fairview General Baptist Church on County Road 253 off Highway 25 Monday through Friday with special singers Crossroads, Jeff Hovis and others.

Lynwood holds seminar, events for all ages

Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau will hold the Bill Gothard Basic Seminar, Advanced Seminar and Children's Institute from Aug. 8 to 13. The times are 7 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 335-8173.

Old Salem plans revival beginning Tuesday

Old Salem United Methodist Church in Millersville will hold a revival with evangelist the Rev. Byran Jordan Tuesday through Friday. The revival will kick off with a fellowship meal at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the other services beginning at 7 p.m.

First General Baptist will hold family crusade

First General Baptist Church in Jackson will hold a family crusade with songs, drama and puppetry at 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

At 5 p.m., New Beginnings, a new form of worship in song and preaching, will be held at Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

At 8 and 10:30 a.m., Matthew Younghouse will conduct the worship service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel.

At 6 p.m., gospel songwriter Jack Campbell will perform at Grace Fellowship Church in Cape Girardeau.

At 6 p.m., First General Baptist Church kicks off a family crusade.
