The Rev. John J. Leibrecht, bishop of the Cape Girardeau-Springfield Roman Catholic Diocese, will visit St. Denis parish in Benton, Mo., and celebrate Mass at 4 p.m., at which time 37 candidates for confirmation will be presented.

Sunday

The Rev. John J. Leibrecht, bishop of the Cape Girardeau-Springfield Roman Catholic Diocese, will celebrate Mass at 7 and 10 a.m. today at St. Denis parish in Benton, Mo.

Dean Thomas Albin of the Upper Room Chapel wll speak at the 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. services at Centenary United Methodist Church, and at the 9:30 a.m. contemporary service. He also will speak at 6:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Albin is a scholar on the brothers John and Charles Wesley, founders of Methodism.

Doris Ford will speak at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Christian stewardship. Ford is an elder in the church.

Wayne and Kristi Northrup will minister at 6 p.m. Sunday at Cornerstone Church in Cape Girardeau. For information, call 335-4456.

Soaring Spirit Ministries will lead an evening praise service at 6 p.m. at Hanover Lutheran Church. The group is a St. Louis-based ministry.

Tuesday

United Methodist Women to meet at Centenary church. The Susanna Wesley Circle will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the Limbaugh Parlor. The Wimodausis Circle will meet at 2 p.m. in the Limbaugh Parlor. The Rebekah Circle will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Life Center kitchen.
