Road work causes closures

Route PP from Highway 72 to County Road 324 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction while Missouri Department of Transportation crews remove brush along the northbound and southbound lanes. Weather permitting, the work will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

Highway 177 from U.S. 61 to Bertling Street in Cape Girardeau will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday while MoDOT crews patch the northbound and southbound lanes.

Highway 72 from Highway 34 to Route B in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today while MoDOT crews patch the eastbound and westbound lanes.

Highway 25 in Stoddard County will be reduced to one lane from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today while MoDOT crews patch the southbound lane one mile north of U.S. 60.

The southbound Marston rest area on Interstate 55 in New Madrid County will be closed while MoDOT crews perform concrete repairs. The rest area will reopen about noon Friday.

The northbound Steele rest area on I-55 in Pemiscot County will be closed while MoDOT crews make concrete repairs at the facility. The rest area will be closed today and will reopen about 3 p.m. Friday.

The northbound Bloomsdale rest area in Ste. Genevieve County will be closed until further notice for emergency repairs being made at the facility.
