The Cape Girardeau Public Works Department will begin concrete slab repair and replacement on North Broadview Street at the intersection with Independence Street today. Only a portion of the street will be closed, and traffic will be detoured through Arena Park. The intersection is expected to reopen Monday. If roadwork is rained out today, the project will begin March 23. Motorists are urged to plan for delays and consider alternate routes.
