A 42-year-old Jackson man was transported to an area hospital in serious condition after a Jeep rollover accident that occurred just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The wreck occurred on US Highway 61 about nine miles north of Jackson, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Robert Hansen, the driver, was transported to the hospital after his jeep traveled from the right side of the roadway to overturn.
