The Small Business Administration will close its temporary SBA workshop in the Salvation Army building Saturday at 1 p.m. The SBA workshop at 701 Good Hope is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1 Saturday. The workshop was opened to assist local residents in need of SBA disaster assistance. Since the disaster was declared on June 12 more than $681,000 in disaster loan assistance has been approved for Missouri storm and flood victims...

The Small Business Administration will close its temporary SBA workshop in the Salvation Army building Saturday at 1 p.m.

The SBA workshop at 701 Good Hope is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 1 Saturday.

The workshop was opened to assist local residents in need of SBA disaster assistance. Since the disaster was declared on June 12 more than $681,000 in disaster loan assistance has been approved for Missouri storm and flood victims.

Although the Cape Girardeau workshop is closing, personal assistance is still available at a St. Louis or by calling the SBA at 1-800-659-2955.

SBA offers loans of up to $200,000 to repair damaged homes and up to $40,000 to replace personal belongings. Loans of up to $1.5 million are available to businesses and nonprofit organizations to repair business property.

Economic injury disaster loans are also available to provide working capital to small businesses.

Disaster victims who have already registered with Federal Emergency Management Agency and received their SBA disaster loan applications are encouraged to complete and return them as soon as possible.

Applications may be returned in person to the nearest workshop or by mail to the U.S. Small Business Administration, P.O. Box 150269, St. Louis, Mo., 63115-9998. Additional information may be obtained by calling the SBA toll-free number : 1-800-659-2955.

The filing deadline for physical disaster loans is Aug. 11. Economic injury disaster loan applications may be filed until March 12, 1996.
