Detective Travis Sikes of the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department, later interviewed Barr. In a probable cause statement, Sikes wrote Barr told him that he stole two guns Monday from a home on County Road 510 and that he sold the Taurus .38 revolver for $120 on Morgan Oak Street and the Ruger .22-caliber rifle for $60 at the 500 block of South Ellis Street.

The .22 was later located by Cape Girardeau police, Sikes said.

Barr remains in custody at the county jail. His bond was set at $5,000. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Oct. 31 in Jackson.
