Police are still looking for a 25-year-old woman reported missing over the weekend by family members, said Cpl. Adam Glueck, spokesman for the police department.

A relative of Leeann Hopson went to check on her at her 1010 Jefferson Ave. residence Sunday evening, and called police when they noted a large front window of the house broken.

The window and door were smeared with blood, and drops of blood lined the sidewalk in front of the residence when police arrived.

Sgt. Rick Schmidt said the blood appeared to be several days old, and more of it led around the back of the residence.

When police entered the house, they found more blood inside. The back door had been left unlocked.

A neighbor reported seeing Hopson on Sunday morning, Schmidt said. One family member said she may have left town for Illinois or the Malden, Mo., area Glueck said.

Checks with area hospitals revealed neither anyone matching Hopson's description nor anyone treated over the weekend for the kind of injuries that could have resulted in the blood left at the scene.
