Shawnee Community College is offering an informational seminar called Successful Money Management: A Course in Financial Planning Basics on Sept. 12, 19, 26 from 6-9:30 p.m. in the River Room.

This motivational course covers money management concepts in practical, easy-to-understand language.

The course will be taught by Steve and Jan Gerard, registered representatives of MML Investor Services, Inc. Areas of discussion include effects of inflation, the power of compound interest, investments, retirement planning, risk management and estate planning.
