The SEMO District Fair will be September 7-14.
Kicking the fair off will be the annual SEMO District Fair parade at 9:30 a.m. coming from Capaha Park to Arena Park.
The Grandstand entertainment line for the week is as follows; Saturday, Sept. 7 the dual demolition derby at 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 8 the garden and antique tractor pull at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 9 the Heartland Idol finals starting at 7 p.m, Tuesday, Sept. 10 the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 11 Reckless Kelly will take the stage starting at 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. Elton Day and the Rocket Band will take the grandstand stage, Friday, Sept. 13 the Pro Pulling league western series hot rod truck and tractor pull will start around 7 pm. and Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 pm. The second night of the dual demolition derby will start.
Along with the Grandstand entertainment, there will be other events such as livestock competitors, a student dog show, the annual SEMO District Fair Pageant, a Cornhole tournament, a carnival and more.
Tuesday will be the thrifty Tuesday special with carnival armbands priced at $20.
