Southeast Missouri State University will offer a new criminal justice course this summer for elementary and high school teachers.

The course, Criminal Justice Overview for Teachers, will be taught on weekends and cover units on gangs, when and what happens when you are under arrest, life inside prison and other criminal justice topics for classroom use by teachers.

Classes will be held the weekends of June 19-21, June 26-28 and July 10-12. Class times will be 6-9 p.m. Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1-5 p.m. Sundays. Interested persons can contact Bourns at (573) 651-2687.
