SIKESTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston man turned himself in and was charged with charged with first-degree attempted assault, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action in connection with a weekend shooting. The Sikeston Standard Democrat reported Calvin D. Grayson, 38, turned himself in to Sikeston police Saturday after he was sought as a suspect in the Friday shooting of a 45-year-old man. According to a Sikeston Department of Public Safety news release, about 11 p.m. Friday, a 45-year-old Sikeston man was driving when a subject shot at his vehicle and wounded his left leg. The victim said the shots came from the driver of another vehicle. He identified the shooter as someone he had been having some personal problems with. The victim was taken to Missouri Delta Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Grayson is in the Scott County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
