Once the identity of Lott was established, DPS officers then responded to a location where they believed him to be. Shortly thereafter, Lott gave himself up to officers.

At a local home, officers collected evidence that included a weapon and ammunition which has been submitted to the SEMO Crime Lab for analysis.

Officers are looking into the connection between Lott and a robbery at TNT Video that occurred on Dec. 29 when a man, armed with a semiautomatic pistol, entered the store, threatened the store clerk and demanded money.

Tuesday, the suspect dropped the money after shooting Buckley.

Anyone with information regarding either case is asked to contact the Sikeston Department of Public Safety Detective Bureau at 471-6200.
