A sinkhole has formed along South Sprigg Street, leading the city government to close one lane in the 2300 block. The sinkhole is on the west side of the street, and caused the closure of the southbound lane in the 2300 block of South Sprigg Street, according to city spokeswoman Nicolette Brennan. Signs placed nearby warned motorists of the closed lane. The lane will be blocked until further notice, and city crews will continue to monitor the sinkhole, Brennan said....

Sinkholes have been a major problem along South Sprigg Street. Between April 2011 and April 2012, part of the road was closed and had to be rebuilt because of damage from sinkholes.
