DEERING, Mo. -- Pemiscot County authorities were conducting a manhunt near the Delta C-7 school campus at Deering following a report of a wanted man being seen in the area, the Daily Dunklin Democrat newspaper reported just after 2 p.m.

According to authorities at the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department, the man being sought is Randall Lee Johnson, who went missing after he jumped out of the passenger side of a vehicle during a car chase on Monday night.

At approximately 10 a.m. today, authorities received a report of someone seeing Johnson near Delta C-7 school.

Johnson is described as a dark-complected white male with several tattoos, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, and about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and dark pajama pants. Authorities said Johnson is believed to be armed and is considered extremely dangerous.

Due to the area Johnson was reported to have been seen in, Delta C-7 school was on lockdown, and school officials reported that "everything is fine."

The Daily Dunklin Democrat will update its reports as the situation develops.
