Patrick Gorman was able to swim to shore and told Kolb to hold onto a water cooler while he went to get help. Kolb was no longer visible when Gorman looked back to the water.

Neither man was wearing a flotation device, according the sheriff's office.

The Missouri State Water Patrol found Kolb's body around 3:30 p.m. after dragging the lake.
