The Hall and Museum building in St. Louis was sold to the Ballpark Village partnership, owned in part by the St. Louis Cardinals. The partnership gave the museum an opportunity to remain in downtown St. Louis, where it has been since 1984.

Spokeswoman Susan Ryan said the St. Louis museum would stay open through the baseball season.
