Cozmo's Cafe and Cream won't be a part of the dining options in Cape Girardeau for much longer.
The restaurant's owner, Dr. Michael Jessup, told seMissourian.com today that he plans to close down the store and turn Cozmo's into a small franchise.
Jessup said the move isn't related to the poor economy, though.
Earlier this week, two other Cape Girardeau restaurants announced plans to sell their buildings.
Tuesday was a deadly day on Southeast Missouri roads. Three people died in car crashes on roadways in the area, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
In a move to try and keep tuition costs down for college students around the state, new Gov. Jay Nixon brokered a deal with public universities to freeze their tuition rates in exchange for no budget cuts from the state.
The deal still needs legislative approval.
