Three-car accident slows traffic on South Hope Street

A three-car accident slowed traffic on South Hope Street in Jackson to a crawl Friday afternoon.

The accident happened around 3:25 p.m. where South Hope intersects County Road 318. Police said a red Hyundai was traveling north on South Hope when a black Ford traveling south made a left turn in front of it at the intersection with County Road 318. The impact sent the Hyundai spinning and it struck a vehicle waiting at a stop sign on County Road 318.

The road was reduced to one lane while the accident was cleared.

There were no passengers in any of the vehicles and the drivers only had minor injuries. No one was transported to the hospital.
