Three juveniles were charged with making a terrorist threat last week at Central High School, according to a Cape Girardeau Police Department news release.
A police investigation revealed the students had plans to shoot students but had not set a date for their plans, according to the release.
The investigation included interviewing each student, the release stated.
No firearms were found in the juveniles’ possession on school property or at their residences, according to the release.
The juveniles are in custody at a juvenile detention center, the release stated.
The Cape Girardeau School District suspended the students, and they may face a long-term suspension, according to a district news release.
The criminal investigation is ongoing, the police news release stated.
