Three men in their mid-20s were injured Wednesday morning when they fell from a scaffold and construction materials landed on them. The men were constructing a pole barn on Angelica Lane in northern Cape Girardeau County near New Wells.

Three men in their mid-20s were injured Wednesday morning when they fell from a scaffold and construction materials landed on them. The men were constructing a pole barn on Angelica Lane in northern Cape Girardeau County near New Wells. The men were working on a scaffold when a tractor bucket snagged the scaffold, causing them to fall, according to emergency responders at the scene. One man was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center by helicopter with serious injuries, and the other two were taken to Saint Francis by ambulance with moderate injuries. Their names weren't immediately released.
