Supporters of a November ballot issue that would increase Missouri's tobacco taxes will rally in Cape Girardeau today, according to a group that supports the initiative.
The Proposition B Bus Tour will make a stop at Capaha Park at Broadway and West End Boulevard at 9:30 a.m. today, according to a news release from Show-Me A Brighter Future. Prop B is on the Nov. 6 general election ballot and proposes a 73-cent tax increase per pack of cigarettes and increased taxes on other tobacco products to raise money for Missouri public schools and universities.
