OLNEY, Md. Jane Rader DeBoe, an interior decorator in the Washington, D.C. area, recently passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification examination.

DeBoe, formerly of Cape Girardeau, is one of 372 interior designers in North America who passed the testing to acquire the certification.

Deboe operates DeBoe Designs in Olney.

NCIDQ is an independent organization created to establish standards for the qualification of professional interior designers.

DONGOLA, Ill. George Inman of Grand Chain, Glenn Tripp of Cobden and Larry Lovell of Dongola have received certification from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

Lovell is general manager of Southern Illinois Electric Cooperative at Dongola. He received management certification during the 51st annual meeting of the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives in Springfield.

Inman and Tripp, directors of SIEA, received professional directors certification.

The three men completed a series of required training and educational courses plus additional credits to receive the certification. The certification program provides member-owned electric cooperatives an opportunity to train directors and employees in fundamental principles and new developments in management and energy-related technology.

Erica Dunning is the 1992-93 winner of the $2,000 Richard F. Heaney Memorial Scholarship presented by the National Beverage Packaging Association.

Dunning, a 1989 graduate of Cape G irardeau Central High School, is a student at the University of Missouri-Rolla, majoring in engineering management with a preference in packaging engineering.

She is the daughter of Eric and Darlene Dunning of Cape Girardeau.

Dunning was sponsored by the St. Louis Chapter of the National Packaging Association.
