Students at Trinity Lutheran School recently won essay and poster contests sponsored at the school by SEMO Trail of Tears Lutherans For Life.
First and second place winners were selected in each grade participating in the contests. The theme was "The Adoption Option."
Poster contest winners were: grade 1, Robert Petzoldt, first place, Casey McCutchen, second place; grade 2, Gabrielle Farrar and Paula McElreath, first place, Lindsey Pfanstiel and Carissa Moore, second place; grade 3, Heather Griffaw, first place, Emily McElreath, second place; and grade 4, Kenneth Hoffman, first place, Erica Hileman and Aaron Hintz, second place.
Winners in the essay contest were: grade 5, Jennifer Daume, first place, Krista Coleman, second place; grade 6, Angie Hoffman, first place, Derek Honaas, second place; grade 7, Julie Seabaugh, first place, Bridget Tracy, second place; and grade 8, Kevin Pingel, first place, and Mindy Birk, second place.
Winning students received ribbons and gift certificates to Gospeland Bookstore.
