Two Sikeston, Missouri, residents were injured Monday evening in a one-vehicle crash in Stoddard County.

Kendra L. Plunk, 27, was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan west on County Road 518 west of Sikeston when she lost control on the gravel, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The vehicle ran off the road and struck a ditch, throwing Plunk. Plunk, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries.

Her passenger, Timothy D. Gaddis, 35, suffered moderate injuries; he had been wearing his seat belt, the report said.

Plunk and Gaddis were transported by Air Evac to a Cape Girardeau hospital.
