SCOTT CITY -- A bicycle and a number of hams were among prizes valued at more than $200 that were presented by Baker's Bestway at Scott City during a recent promotion.

The contest was sponsored by the store and Coca Cola Co.

Ham winners were Trina Sinn, Jim Burton, J.P. Ham, Aleen Leible, and Idalene Head. The bicycle winner was Chad Chaney.

Javada Smith of Oran recently won an AT&T cordless telephone from Godfathers Pizza and Coca-Cola in Cape Girardeau.

Smith, who registered last December, received the phone in January. Smith said she was surprised when the call came. "It was the first time I ever won anything," she said.

More than 2,000 people registered at the Cape Girardeau restaurant for the give-a-way, said its manager, Tim Kelly.

Kelly said the store sponsors the give-a-way promotions twice a year. Prizes include a phone and a bicycle.

Celana Price of Benton was winner of a BMX Bike during a recent promotion by Robert's Restaurant at Benton.

Ann Rowling of Charleston was the winner of a smoked turkey and Richard Perryman of Benton won a smoked ham.
