Toybox

The Wiggles, singing children's characters, would find great playmates in Bennie, 4, and his brother, Jay, 3. The children have asked Santa for new Wiggles toys and musical instruments. Bennie also wants Power Ranger and Spiderman action figures. Jay likes Blue's Clues and Scooby-Doo. But older brother Martin, 7, prefers more grown-up toys like Yu-Gi-Oh and Game Boy games. He also would like some books to read and a Leapfrog Learning Center. The youngest of this family, 2-year-old Tayler, wants a train set and a tricycle or bike for riding. He also likes Blue's Clues and action figure toys.

The boys' mother is a single parent living alone in an apartment, trying to make ends meet so she's asked the Jaycees' Toybox program for help this year.

Christmas for the Elderly

Mrs. G is a 97-year-old woman who lives with her daughter and son-in-law. She's recently had to sell her home and move in with family because of deteriorating health.

Mrs. G uses a wheelchair to move about and has a history of strokes.

Despite her severe allergies and health problems, she wants to celebrate the holiday season.

Most of her immediate needs are taken care of, but she'd like a few small gifts this year. She wants a small housecoat in a floral design and house slippers or booties in size small.
